Methods

We mainly used two methods. First, we made a documentary of how Ecuadorians perceive Spaniards and vice versa. At this stage, students made the material for the documentary by asking open questions on the street and in people’s homes. Second, we edited the documentary and used it in a discussion group consisting of Ecuadorians and Spaniards. The edited sequences were then used to create a debate about their relations and images.
