Implementation

Students enrolled in a documentary course were allowed to participate in this project. Their work focused on refining the documentary. Eight students participated in the first year, and six in the second. To become familiar with the project, these students attended several seminars, where they also learned different fieldwork techniques. In spring 2005, several groups of students recorded and edited material for the first documentary. The final work was presented to a group of Ecuadorians and Spaniards in October. During the academic year 2005–2006, a new documentary was made to complement the first one.

We offered video conferences as a special activity within the seminars. The students used this opportunity four times. For us, this was very positive considering the language limitations. Since teachers and students communicate daily at UCAM, the e-learning system was only used in special situations.
