Goals

The courses were part of the Cultural Management Degree Programme of Humak. Forum Theatre was used in order to create inter-cultural interaction and understanding and to reduce suspicions and stereotypical prejudices. The students were acquainted with cultural differences, opportunities of minority groups to preserve their own culture in coexistence with the dominant culture, and the integration process of immigrants. Everyday difficulties and possibilities of encounters between members of the dominant culture and minorities were studied through Forum Theatre.

In addition the students studied the theoretical premises of Community Arts and more precisely the methods of Theatre of the Oppressed, namely image theatre, and most importantly Forum Theatre.
