Participants
Participating were 60 further education students aged 20–43 years, enrolled in three different courses. All participants were working either in kindergartens or in other social institutions of youth education while they are being trained to become nursery school teachers (ErzieherIn). 35% of the students have a migrant background (Greece, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Poland, Russia, Iran and Iraq). In their occupation, they are often confronted with problems caused by the heterogeneous nature of their groups, and the need to develop solutions to those problems.
