Goals

In one of his most famous plays Jean Paul Sartre said: “Hell is other people.” Rather than to solve problems, our goal was to think about ways to anticipate them. We chose the concept of Otherness (‘altérité’ in French), which covers more than the problems experienced by minorities. France has a long history of immigration waves with varied developments. We therefore included different kinds of relationships, such as that between men and women.

We chose to adapt Augusto Boal’s methods to video, and to work on reducing the distance separating one person from another by establishing a dialogue between them.
